Sweet Adelines Events

Our education events cover all aspects of a cappella and barbershop craft, vocal production, directing, visual leadership, arranging, competitions, performance skills, quartetting, administration and more! They’re also fun and social, as Sweet Adelines love being together.

The program combines classwork, workshopping and online learning. We try to bring opportunities as close as possible to where our members can take advantage of them.

Music Leaders Program – online course

This exciting Region 34 initiative is open to all members.

The program consists of nine modules and takes approximately six months to complete.

The modules include

• Judging Categories
• Music Theory
• Section Leaders’ Role in Chorus
• Section Leaders’ Toolkit
• Vocal Production

Successful graduates will be awarded a pin and a certificate.

Frenzy Tour

Frenzy Quartet are 2017 Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions and 2017 Most Entertaining Quartet and all four of them are educators.

They will be providing quartet education events in QLD and WA over 3 weeks in August 2018 (exact dates and more details TBA)

IES 2017

2- 6 Aug 2017 • University of Maryland, College Park, USA

Five-day Education Event for Sweet Adelines. Includes the Rising Star Contest (for Sweet Adelines quartets whose members are all under 25) and the Mixed Harmony Quartet Contest.

Sweet Adelines International has a phenomenal line up with fresh, new and comprehensive curriculum that draws from the best and most popular components of IES from the past.

Master the principles of barbershop harmony and expand vocal harmony into the 21st century with hundreds of a cappella barbershop ladies and gents around the world. The way we see it, the future sure looks bright.
