Sweet Adelines Events

Our education events cover all aspects of a cappella and barbershop craft, vocal production, directing, visual leadership, arranging, competitions, performance skills, quartetting, administration and more! They’re also fun and social, as Sweet Adelines love being together.

The program combines classwork, workshopping and online learning. We try to bring opportunities as close as possible to where our members can take advantage of them.

Directors’ School 2020

 17 – 19 Jan 2020 in Sydney. REF come in Thur evening 16th.

This School has a visual focus so Visual Leaders are invited to attend along with Directors and Assistant Directors.

Music Leaders Program – online course

This exciting Region 34 initiative is open to all members.

The program consists of nine modules and takes approximately six months to complete.

The modules include
• Organisational Knowledge
• Analytical Listening
• Communication Skills
• Conducting Skills
• Judging Categories
• Music Theory
• Section Leaders’ Role in Chorus
• Section Leaders’ Toolkit
• Vocal Production

Successful graduates will be awarded a pin and a certificate.

The Music Leaders Program will be re-opening soon! We are finalizing the remaining two modules
