Region 34 Quartets at International Conventions

The winners of the Region 34 (Australian) quartet contest in May are eligible to compete against the quartet winners of all the other regions at the international competition in October of the same year as their win (giving them around 6 months to prepare).

There are 8 judges at International (compared to 4 at regional) so there are twice as many points to be won.

Bold shows new record set.

Pre-2005 Region 34 competed bi-anually so only represented every second year. Quartets could choose which year.

Up to 1998, only the top 20 got published scores. The quarter finals were an elimination round, then there were 2 more rounds – top 20 semis and top 10 finals.
