Harmony College 2012

Please note that Harmony College 2012 is a separate event to the 2012 Sweet Adelines Convention. Four of the finest educators in Sweet Adelines are your faculty for the 2012 Harmony College. The registration cost of $90 includes morning and afternoon tea and lunch on Monday, and morning tea on Tuesday. Transport will be provided for those without a car. There are classes tailored for general members, directors and music staff, budding arrangers and visual teams.

Venue

The College will be held at the Southern Cross Club WODEN. There are six ‘Southern Cross clubs’ in Canberra so be sure you go to the right one! It’s the one in Woden.

Getting there

You can drive – it takes around 20 minutes to get there from Llewellyn Hall.

Free parking is available under the building. You will be able to validate your parking ticket inside the Club if you are there for Harmony College.

Indoor and outdoor pay parking is available directly across the road from the Club in the Woden Plaza Shopping Centre.

You can also book on one of the buses being organised by the Brindabella Chorus Transport Team:

Based on an original expression of interest, the region is chartering buses to take participants who require transport to and from Harmony College. Tickets for these buses will be available for individual members to purchase online in advance. Please listen for details through your chorus about the method and site for booking on the buses. If you didn’t ask for transport in the initial expression of interest, it’s not too late; simply purchase a ticket online once bookings open.

On Monday the bus will go from Canberra city (aka ‘Civic’) to Woden in the morning and return in the afternoon at the conclusion of Harmony College. On Tuesday, the bus will go from Civic to Woden. For the trip back at the conclusion of Harmony College, the bus will go to the airport.

If you are catching the bus to the airport, you should bring your suitcase/s on Tuesday and leave them in the back of the room allocated for luggage at the venue.
